Possible Signals of D 0 - D̄ 0 Mixing and CP Violation

In view of the discovery potential associated with the future experiments of high-luminosity xed target facilities, B-meson factories and-charm factories, we highlight some typical signals of D 0-D 0 mixing and CP violation which are likely to show up in neutral D-meson decays to the semileptonic nal states, the hadronic CP eigenstates, the hadronic non-CP eigenstates and the CP-forbidden states. Within the standard electroweak model we carry out an instructive analysis of the effect of K0 − K̄0 mixing on CP asymmetries in some weak decay modes of D and (−) B d mesons.
